Naming your dog Prince Albert III may sound cute to you for now, but it won't when you have to say it over and over and over and...well, you get the idea.
2. Keep Them Short and Sweet When it comes to puppy names, one or two keywords is normally sufficient for your dog. This is long enough to where they pay attention to you when you say their name but short enough that it is to the point, and allows you to sound stern and get them to obey you; this is critical during the training phase.
3.See What Your Pup Thinks While your new puppy certainly can't give you feedback on the list of puppy names you have landed on, you can get an idea of what they would work best with by trying them out on them. See what they respond best to. Some pets like to have the 'ey' or 'ie' sound at the end of their names, while others don't respond better to either or. Sure it is up to you, but your little guy is the only one who has to live with the name.
